Urban farming, black powder shooting, touring on the Harley, building scale model kits and taking photographs. We like to vary our hobbies and interests sometimes it doesn't leave time to excel at any of them.
We arose early and hit the road as our destination for the day was Las Vegas, we headed back towards Winslow to get some more photos at Standin' on the Corner Park. From there we drove to Flagstaff for breakfast and ended up in a Burger King joint. They had "Whopper's" on the menu for breakfast, so for the first time in my life I ate a "Whopper" at around 7.00am in the morning. Not something I'd make a habit of though.
The morning arrived and we arose feeling rather 'seedy' from the previous afternoon and night of drinking most of the beer menu at Cruisers Cafe 66. So after breakfast we headed noth towards the Grand Canyon, with a stop at Planes of Fame Air Museum.
After catching up for breakfast we checked out of NYNY and hit the road heading towards Needles California, with the roof down on the Mustang we cruised through the Mojave desert. The 45°C day seen us pull up and put the roof up for a couple of hours. Once we crossed over into California we continued on pulling up at Needles for a cold drink. We then headed to Arizona and onto Oatman a town that appears to be lost in time. Donkeys wandering the street which has building that would like at home in a western movie.
Well the day finally arrived and we headed to the Brisbane International airport, we had organised pre-paid parking. The signs to go to the valet area are a little vague though.
Once in the airport the pre-checkin is a slow process, we got issued the wrong tickets and had to get them changed. They had us back to far in the plane, we'd paid for economy X which gave us more leg room. No lounge acess despite me paying for the Virgin lounge, it only works domestically. So I won't be renewing it next year.
